| Frequently asked questions | | | | How does electrolysis work? A fine probe is inserted in the hair follicle alongside the hair. Once the probe is in place a current is released, rendering the source of nourishment inactive and preventing the production of another hair. What is a consultation? We offer a complimentary, no obligation consultation and sample treatment in a private and relaxing atmosphere. A qualified electrologist will explain how electrolysis is performed and examine the area you would like treated. All your questions will be answered. As an informed consumer, you will then have the information you need to decide whether to continue electrolysis. How many treatments will I need?Hair grows in different cycles, therefore all hairs are not visible at the same time. Many factors will determine how many treatments you may need. For example, your hair texture, density, the area being treated and the temporary methods previously used. How expensive is electrolysis?Electrolysis treatments are charged by the length of time. Most treatments are 15 or 30 minutes long. The size and density of the area to be treated will determine your cost. You will learn about our prices and specials for block packages during the consultation. Do you use disposable and/or sterilized equipment?Absolutely. We follow stringent sterilization procedures. We only use sterilized, disposable probes, sterilized forceps and a new pair of disposable gloves for every client.
